Our program this season includes sets of Songs from our American heritage, Songs of Nature, Songs from and about the Land of Enchantment by living composers, and Songs that Delight and Intrigue.
Our program includes several premiere performances of works including the Southwest premiere of British composer, Michael Tippett's Five Negro Spirituals from his oratorio, A Child of Our Time; works by John Ireland, Ralph Vaughan Williams, John Chorbajian and Charles Villiers Stanford; works by New Mexican composers Mary Lynn Place Badarak and the world premiere performances of Santa Fe composer, John Michael Luther's If a Man Die. To conclude, in true Polyphony style we end with Songs from Uruguay, India and a few other fun surprises!
