Soloists from Polyphony: Voices of New Mexico and Chorus Master Maxine Thévenot join forces with instrumental musicians from around Albuquerque in our 11th annual performance of Handel's "CHILDREN'S MESSIAH."
Admission is free. We encourage everyone to bring 2 non-perishable food items for the Cathedral's Food Pantry. Items the pantry desperately needs include: peanut butter, canned tuna, spam, and canned chicken - no beans please. Your generosity is very much appreciated!
Several of our professional singers sing alongside middle and high school choristers who have learned 1-5 choruses from Handel's MESSIAH. (You and your students are invited to learn any/all choruses.) Our professional singers sing the recits and arias in between the following choruses:
from Part ONE
And the Glory
And he shall purify
For unto us a child is born
Glory to God
from Part TWO
Hallelujah Chorus!
The entire educational concert takes about 45 minutes to perform and is usually attended by several hundred people.
Please drop us a line at polyphonyvoicesofnewmexico@gmail.com if you are interested in bringing members of your chorus to our 11th annual Children's Messiah on December 12, 2026!
